Chefs on TV have it easy. Their ingredients are premeasured and laid out before the show begins by some dude that no one knows the name of. Stuff is usually already chopped as well.

Doing all of the work yourself takes quite a bit of time… well it takes time for me because I can’t concentrate… Anyway, I made beef stir fry, and aside from the meat being a bit tough and my sister saying the flavor was a bit too strong (It wasn’t) it turned out quite well. Maybe I should cook more often…

Bringing Moderately Attractive Back?… Or At Least This Blog.

I’m sitting here in the computer lab, and I think everyone else in here is blogging as we wait for the really slow connection to work for us. I need to bring this blog back to life and get it up and running.

The only thing really on my mind right now is the Percy Jackson series. I just finished reading the fifth book last night.I have one thing to say: Wow! Well, I have more to say, but that sums it all up pretty well. I love the twists and turns the plot had. Some of them were easier to see coming, but quite a few of them caught me by surprise. Now I feel I need to see the movie version of The Lightning Thief.

Well, my video has now finished loading, so I have to watch that, but I’ll be back. *insert evil laugh here*

End of an Era

As 2009 ended, I started to think about other things in my life that are starting to end as well. For one, my sanity is going down the drain. My time in high school is almost over too. I only have six months to still be a kid before I turn eighteen and have the harsh reality of life slap me in the face.

The most common fear is the fear of the unknown, and I know that I am dead afraid of what lies ahead for me. I keep wondering if telling life to “bring it on” helps encourage me or is just asking for more than I can handle…

Well, I always have been pretty crazy…

Worthless Apology

Sometimes life sucks.

Myia has put in so much time and effort into the newspaper, and the newspaper staff didn’t come through. I can admit, I should have done more.

Unfortunately, at the final deadline, we weren’t ready. We needed to do more than we realised and most of the staff was way too far behind schedule.

All I can do now is apologize to Myia and say that I’m sorry, but I know that it can’t fix the problem I was a part of creating.

Close Call

I just got back from the Clippers game against the Wizards. We won! It was pretty close though. We only won by two points, and at one point in the game (I think it was the third quarter) we were down by sixteen. It was kinda cool to see most of the fans stand for the last few minutes of the game. That hasn’t happened in a while. Hopefully this win will help get the Clippers back into their “groove,” and they will keep winning.

Spoils of Victory

I’m sitting in Mrs. Alfi’s class eating my hot dogs. Myia claims to be at some club meeting, but I know the truth: she can’t face the humiliation of watching me eat the hot dogs she gave me. Oh sweet, sweet victory!

I have to say, the hot dogs taste pretty good even though I didn’t heat them up. They’re like pizza; they taste good hot or cold. Either that, or they taste so good because they represent my awesomeness.

I’m still waiting for Myia to put the link to Haley’s blog up…

Today, Myia was looking at one of the blogs for Journalism. I just so happened to remember that she hadn’t posted the link to Haley’s blog yet. She thought she had, and she was willing to bet that she had. I won the bet.

It didn’t end there, though. I went running though a really big puddle at school. Why? Myia said she’d give me a third hot dog. Food will make me do anything. I wonder how I would survive even one day without food. Well, I’m going to go fix myself a snack.

The Power of Food

I just got back from the 2011 Chick-fil-a fundraiser. A lot of Gahr students were there. I was actually pretty suprised. I didn’t expect to see that many Gahr kids to go. I guess the food called out to them.

I really hope we are able to have a good prom this year. Even if I only go to say that I went and avoid critcism, I want the seniors that have been excitedly waiting for Prom to have a good time. Here’s hoping…

The Pain of Withdrawal

I’m going though withdrawal. I want Youth Convention back. I’m sitting here listening to some of the songs from the concerts, but it just isn’t the same. That, and my parents are around to bug me.

I have to wonder if I’ll be going to Youth Convention next year. I would have to go as a leader, and I get this feeling that I would be given the rowdy kids as punishment for what I put my leaders through.

Well, I’m going to go try drowning my sorrow in food. That might actually help if I start to exercise as well.

I am so tired that I am literally having a hard time keeping my eyes open as I type this. I just took a nap after coming home from So Cal Youth Convention ’09 in Anaheim. WOOT!

Reggie Dabbs, Kutless, Fireflight, and Phil Wickham were all amazing. Reggie helped me prove that I am an albino black man, so to everyone that was at convention with me, “I got yo back!” (and to Ramon, “I got yo black!”)

Even after that nap, I am really, really tired though…
